The short answer
The best fresh Lattafa perfume for most people is Khamrah Waha (£38.99): yuzu, juniper and cucumber with a sea-salt accord over a soft vanilla-tonka base. If you want the sea itself, buy Lattafa Atlas (£21.99), the saltiest, most genuinely aquatic bottle in the range.
For men, the clean, soapy Asad Zanzibar Limited Edition (£17.99) is the easy pick. For women, Mayar Natural Intense (£18.99) is the watery fig-and-lotus one. On a tight budget, Asad Zanzibar costs £15.99 for 100ml, as long as you like coconut water and salt.

Most Lattafa bestsellers are built for cold weather: vanilla, praline, oud and amber. This list covers the bottles whose notes are genuinely citrus, aquatic, salty or green, and leaves out the sweet gourmands that only look fresh on the box.
Every pick is in stock. Each note pyramid was checked on Fragrantica and against Lattafa’s own listing (or its US distributor), and ratings were checked in October 2026. Wearer reports are paraphrased with the spread of opinion shown. To browse instead, see our Lattafa fresh and aquatic perfumes category.
The 8 Best Fresh and Aquatic Lattafa Perfumes
1 · Best salty marine
Lattafa Atlas: the salty, aquatic Lattafa
Notes (Fragrantica and Lattafa)Top: sea notes, salt, lemon. Heart: davana, iris. Base: ambergris, oakmoss, sandalwood. Fragrantica’s leading accords are marine and salty, and Lattafa’s listing matches note for note.
Why it works on warm daysSalt and marine notes read cool rather than sweet, and lemon keeps the opening bright. Our
Atlas review places it in spring and summer, outdoors.
Who it suitsAnyone who wants an aquatic Lattafa perfume that actually smells of the sea. Unisex. Not one for a small shared office.
What wearers reportRated 4.14 out of 5 from more than 3,100 votes on
Fragrantica. Many reviewers describe strong projection and wear lasting into the next day on clothing; others say it stays close, and a few think recent batches are softer.
2 · Best overall
Khamrah Waha: the best fresh Lattafa overall
Notes (Fragrantica and Lattafa)Top: bergamot, yuzu, juniper, ginger. Heart: cucumber, sea salt, sage, iris. Base: vanilla, tonka bean, musk, Ambrofix, Akigalawood. Fragrantica credits perfumer Jordi Fernández; Lattafa USA lists the same notes.
Why it works on warm daysThe opening is citrus and green, with juniper giving it a dry, gin-like edge and cucumber keeping it cool. The vanilla-tonka base gives it more staying power than a pure citrus.
Who it suitsUnisex. Ideal if you love Khamrah but find the original too heavy for warm months.
What wearers reportRated 3.84 from about 1,480 votes on
Fragrantica. Some reviewers report seven to twelve hours; others say the fresh top fades within a few hours into a sweeter skin scent. Opinion splits on extreme heat: some call it a perfect summer scent, others find the base too sweet in strong sun.
3 · Best for him
Asad Zanzibar Limited Edition: the clean, soapy one
Notes (Fragrantica and Lattafa)Top: marine notes, lavender, pink pepper. Heart: soap, cashmeran, cinnamon. Base: amber, sandalwood, cedar, tonka bean. Notes as listed on Fragrantica; we could not load Lattafa’s own page for this edition.
Why it works on warm daysMarine and lavender up top, then a freshly-showered soap accord: clean rather than sweet, which suits heat and the office.
Who it suitsMen who want a fresh, crowd-pleasing daily scent, and anyone who wants the Zanzibar idea without coconut. Marketed for men; wears unisex.
What wearers reportRated 4.17 from about 440 votes on
Fragrantica. Reports run from around two hours to well past ten, with five to six hours the most common estimate and projection fading after the first hour or two. Most reviewers recommend it for warm weather; one or two find it too warm for real heat.
4 · Best for her
Mayar Natural Intense: the soft, watery one
Notes (Fragrantica and Lattafa)Top: green tangerine, fig, melon, coconut water. Heart: lotus, water lily, jasmine. Base: musk, ambroxan, sandalwood, vanilla. Fragrantica and Lattafa list the same eleven notes.
Why it works on warm daysFloral and aquatic are Fragrantica’s two leading accords. The coconut water is cool and mineral, not suncream, and the water lily and lotus keep the heart dewy.
Who it suitsWomen who want something light and pretty for hot days, holidays or a July wedding. Fragrantica lists it for women; some reviewers say it wears unisex.
What wearers reportRated 3.78 from about 985 votes on
Fragrantica. Some reviewers get around two hours; others report about four hours on skin and much longer on clothes. Several say a new bottle improved after resting. Reviewers most often recommend it for hot weather, the beach and the office.
5 · Best on a budget
Asad Zanzibar: the budget beach scent
Notes (Fragrantica and Lattafa)Top: lavender, black pepper. Heart: coconut water, iris, salt. Base: vanilla, incense. Lattafa lists the same notes as sea lavender and salty coconut water. Fragrantica credits perfumer Fanny Bal.
Why it works on warm daysSalt and watery coconut give it a skin-after-a-swim feel, and the lavender opening is cool. It is softer and more powdery than Atlas.
Who it suitsFans of salty, skin-like scents who want 100ml for £15.99. Marketed for men; often worn unisex.
What wearers reportRated 3.23 from more than 3,800 votes on
Fragrantica, the most divided score on this list. Fans describe a creamy, salty iris; critics find the opening sour or milky. Longevity reports range from about an hour on skin to around ten hours, and several reviewers say the opening softens after the bottle rests.
Good to knowIf coconut has never worked for you, buy the Limited Edition (pick 3) instead. If you want coconut to be creamier and sweeter, look at our
Lattafa coconut perfumes.
6 · Best fruity-fresh
Art of Universe: the fruity, fizzy one
Notes (Fragrantica and Lattafa)Top: mandarin, ginger, bergamot, mint. Heart: pear, orange blossom. Base: musk, amber, cedar. Fragrantica and Lattafa list the same nine notes.
Why it works on warm daysGinger and mint make the opening cool and fizzy, and the pear is juicy rather than jammy. Citrus and fruity are Fragrantica’s top accords.
Who it suitsAnyone who finds pure aquatics too cold and wants something bright for daytime. Unisex.
What wearers reportRated 4.12 from about 2,870 votes on
Fragrantica. Many reviewers report eight hours or more; others get six or seven, or around three before it turns into a skin scent. Most praise it as a warm-weather pick, though some find the pear too sweet in intense heat.
7 · Best for the office
Lattafa Emeer: the dry, polished one
Notes (Fragrantica and Lattafa)Top: lemon, bergamot, juniper berries, clary sage. Heart: white tea, cardamom, sandalwood, olibanum. Base: ambergris, cedarwood, cashmeran, patchouli. Lattafa.com and Fragrantica match; Lattafa’s US site shows a different, darker list, so we have used the two that agree.
Why it works on warm daysLemon, juniper and white tea give it a crisp, dry freshness with very little sweetness, and the woods keep it grown-up.
Who it suitsAnyone who wants a citrus-woody scent for meetings, smart events and warm evenings out. Unisex.
What wearers reportRated 4.10 from about 1,300 votes on
Fragrantica. Reports range from around two hours to all day. Some praise it in hot, humid weather; a few find the lemon reads like a cleaning product.
8 · Best for the gym bag
Fakhar Platinum: the bright, aromatic one
Notes (Fragrantica and Lattafa)Top: bergamot, pink pepper, cardamom. Heart: guava, lavender, ginger. Base: incense, palo santo, sandalwood. Fragrantica and Lattafa USA list the same notes (Fragrantica calls it Fakhar Platin).
Why it works on warm daysBergamot, ginger and lavender give it a fresh aromatic lift, and the dry palo santo base stops it turning sugary.
Who it suitsMen who want a sporty, everyday fresh scent with a smoky backbone. Listed for women and men on Fragrantica.
What wearers reportRated 4.12 from about 860 votes on
Fragrantica. Some reviewers get eight to eleven hours; others about five. Most agree it shines in warm weather; the sharp opening and the guava divide people.
Aquatic, Citrus or Green: Which Fresh Lattafa Perfume Suits You?
Salty and marine
Sea notes, salt and ambergris. Smells like the coast, not a cocktail. Choose Atlas, or Asad Zanzibar for a softer, creamier take.
Watery floral
Water lily, lotus and coconut water. Light and dewy, and the easiest style to wear in heat. Choose Mayar Natural Intense.
Citrus and green
Yuzu, lemon, juniper, cucumber and tea. Crisp, dry, grown-up. Choose Khamrah Waha or Emeer.
Do Fresh Lattafa Perfumes Last on Warm Days?
Usually not as long as the gourmands. Citrus and marine materials are more volatile than vanilla, resins and oud, so they lift off warm skin faster. For every pick here, Fragrantica reviewers report a wide spread, from a few hours to a full day, and most agree fabric holds these scents far longer than skin.
Three habits help. Spray clothing as well as skin. Carry a small top-up rather than over-spraying, because heat amplifies projection early on. And rest a new bottle for a few weeks: reviewers of Atlas, Asad Zanzibar, Emeer and Mayar Natural Intense all mention performance improving after resting. Our guide to Lattafa maceration explains why.
The exception is Atlas, whose salty accord wearers most often describe as clinging to a shirt all day. Our Lattafa Atlas review covers its performance in detail.
Two More Worth Knowing, and What We Left Out
Fruity rather than aquatic: pineapple, bergamot, apple and black currant over birch, patchouli and oakmoss. Rated 4.18 on Fragrantica (listed under the RAVE label), and the summer pick in our best Lattafa men’s perfumes. Some reviewers find it too sweet for real heat.
Clean rather than aquatic: orange and bergamot, then pear and vanilla, drying to musk and dry amber. Fragrantica’s top accords are musky, powdery and citrus. A handy travel size; our Ana Abiyedh guide covers every version.
We considered several other in-stock bottles and left them out because their notes are not genuinely fresh. Jasoor is apple and tobacco over leather and tonka, a cool-weather scent. Yara Tous is tropical mango, coconut and passion fruit over vanilla, sweet rather than fresh; if that holiday sweetness is what you are after, browse our tropical Lattafa range instead. Rave Now White is bergamot and jasmine over vanilla and amber. Art of Nature II opens with citrus but lands on vanilla, ambroxan and guaiac wood, so it is warmer than anything above. Hayaati opens on apple and bergamot but has a cinnamon heart over musk and vanilla; Fragrantica’s leading accords are fruity, musky and cinnamon, and reviewers split on whether it is too warm for real heat. For cold-weather picks, see our best Lattafa winter perfumes.
Two genuinely marine bottles would have made this list but are out of stock as of October 2026, so we have not ranked them. Lattafa Niche Emarati Hayaam shares Atlas’s marine, salt, lemon and davana opening and its ambergris, oakmoss and sandalwood base, with lily of the valley and iris in the heart (Fragrantica and Lattafa agree). Lattafa Liam Blue Shine is bergamot, rosemary and pepper over sea notes and violet, drying to musk, amber and patchouli. Check their product pages for restocks.
Which One Should You Choose?
Choose Atlas if you want a properly salty, aquatic scent and you are happy to be noticed. One or two sprays.
Choose Khamrah Waha if you want one fresh bottle that is easy to like and works from spring mornings to summer evenings.
Choose Asad Zanzibar Limited Edition if you want clean, soapy freshness for work and every day, without coconut.
Choose Mayar Natural Intense if you want something light, watery and floral for heat and holidays.
Choose Art of Universe or Emeer if you want fresh but less literal: fruity and fizzy (Art of Universe) or dry and tailored (Emeer).
Skip this list if you love vanilla and want it to be the main event. Fresh notes fade faster than gourmands, and the winter picks will suit you better.
Every order comes with free tracked UK delivery, with no minimum spend. Orders are dispatched within 24 hours, and you have 30 days to return. Every bottle is genuine Lattafa with the holographic authentication seal.
Frequently asked questions
Tap a question to open the answer.
What is the freshest Lattafa perfume?
For a literal sea-air freshness, Lattafa Atlas: sea notes, salt and lemon over ambergris, oakmoss and sandalwood, with marine and salty as its top Fragrantica accords. For a citrus-green freshness, Khamrah Waha or Emeer.
Is there an aquatic Lattafa perfume for women?
Yes. Mayar Natural Intense is listed for women on Fragrantica and is built on fig, coconut water, water lily and lotus. Atlas and Khamrah Waha are unisex and work well on women too.
What is the best Lattafa summer perfume for men?
Asad Zanzibar Limited Edition is the easiest to like, with marine notes, lavender and soap over tonka and woods. Atlas is the bolder choice, and Fakhar Platinum suits the gym and daytime.
Is Khamrah Waha sweet like the original Khamrah?
No. It opens on bergamot, yuzu, juniper and cucumber with a sea-salt accord. The vanilla and tonka only come through in the drydown, so it is far lighter than the original.
What is the difference between Asad Zanzibar and the Limited Edition?
Asad Zanzibar is salty coconut water and iris over vanilla and incense. The Limited Edition keeps a lavender-and-pepper opening, adds marine notes, and swaps the coconut for soap, cashmeran and a tonka-amber-woods base.
How do I make a fresh Lattafa last longer in warm weather?
Spray clothing as well as skin, keep a small top-up with you rather than over-spraying, and store the bottle somewhere cool and dark. Many reviewers also say a new bottle performs better after a few weeks of resting.
Is there a good fresh Lattafa under £20?
Yes, four of the eight picks cost under £20 for 100ml: Asad Zanzibar (£15.99), Mayar Natural Intense (£18.99), Asad Zanzibar Limited Edition (£17.99) and Fakhar Platinum (£17.49). Delivery is free on every order, with no minimum spend.
