Lattafa Amber & Oriental Perfumes

Showing all 6 results

Our Lattafa amber and oriental perfumes are the warm end of the range: resins, spice, saffron and vanilla built to sit close and last through a cold day. “Amber” in perfume is not the fossil stone; it is an accord, usually built from materials such as benzoin, labdanum and vanilla, that gives a fragrance its glowing, slightly powdery warmth. If you only try one, start with His Confession: mandarin, cinnamon and lavender over a powdery iris heart, drying to vanilla, tonka, incense and amber.

Where to start

  • His Confession – the refined one. Iris and incense keep it close to the skin, so it works at the office and at smart dinners.
  • Teriaq Intense – the boozy one. Saffron and a dark plum-liqueur accord with cinnamon, over amber, tonka and benzoin. Loud and best kept for winter evenings.
  • Creative Art – the resinous one. Saffron with olibanum and benzoin over a vanilla-amber base.
  • Safwaan L’Autre Oud – the fruity one. Apple and saffron with caramel over a vanilla-oud base.
  • Art of Arabia III – dates and tobacco over amber, for anyone who likes their oriental on the dried-fruit side.

How to choose

Decide what you want on top of the amber. Spice and iris read polished; plum liqueur and cinnamon read festive and bold; frankincense reads serious and dry. All of these are autumn and winter fragrances in the UK, and most need only two or three sprays. If saffron is the note you love, our saffron perfumes go further; for dark woods, see the oud collection. Our best Lattafa winter perfumes guide picks the strongest cold-weather bottles across every category.

Some bottles here are between deliveries; their pages stay live so you can check notes and come back. Every bottle is 100% authentic Lattafa, with free tracked UK delivery on every order, dispatch within 24 hours and 30-day returns.

Amber and oriental perfumes: FAQs

Quick answers to what customers ask about this category.

What is the difference between amber and oriental?

They describe the same warm family. “Amber” is the term most fragrance houses now use, and “oriental” is the older name. Both mean resins, vanilla and spice rather than fresh citrus or florals.

Can I wear an amber fragrance to work?

Choose a quieter one. His Confession stays close to the skin; Teriaq Intense is better saved for evenings. One or two sprays is plenty in a shared office.

Why does my new bottle smell sharp?

Fresh bottles often open thin or alcoholic and settle after a few weeks’ rest. Our maceration guide explains what to expect.
