Ratings from very different numbers of voters are not directly comparable. Yara Elixir’s higher score comes from roughly a tenth as many votes as the original, which has been rated by more people than the other four combined.

How They Perform on Skin
Lattafa does not publish longevity figures for any Yara, so the only evidence is what wearers report. On Fragrantica those reports are genuinely split for every bottle in the family, and skin, climate, number of sprays and bottle age all play a part. Here is the range reviewers describe.
Two caveats apply to all five. A fresh bottle reads sharper and thinner than the same bottle a month later, so give it four to six weeks in a dark drawer before judging it. Yara Original — The One to Start With
Yara Original is the viral pink bottle and still the heart of the line. It sits in Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa ’62 territory, with one practical difference: Yara is a 100ml eau de parfum, while Cheirosa ’62 is sold as a body mist, so Yara is the more concentrated format. Yara Elixir — The Date-Night Gourmand
Yara Elixir is the richest and sweetest of the five: strawberry s’mores and caramel, in the style of Kayali Yum Boujee Marshmallow | 81. A Parfumo reviewer described it as Kayali’s older, more refined sister rather than a straight copy, which is fair. It is not the original made stronger: it swaps orchid and heliotrope for strawberry and black currant, and the sandalwood base for caramel and amber. Yara Tous — The Tropical Summer Member
Yara Tous is mango, coconut and passion fruit, in the style of Sol de Janeiro Rio Radiance. Same family feeling as Original, different season: Original is year-round, Tous is for summer and holidays.
The two are closer to each other than either is to Elixir. Heliotrope, vanilla and musk appear in both pyramids, which is why both end up creamy rather than sharp. The differences: Original opens on orchid and tangerine over a creamy gourmand accord, while Tous opens on mango, coconut and passion fruit and moves into jasmine and orange blossom. In the base, Original uses sandalwood and Tous uses cashmeran, a musky, slightly woody material. Fragrantica’s community accords tell the same story: sweet, vanilla and powdery for Original; tropical, sweet and white floral for Tous.
One honest caveat: on Fragrantica, opinion on the mango is split. Some reviewers say it is juicy and dominant; others say they can barely find the fruit and mostly smell the florals and vanilla. Buying a Genuine Yara in the UK
Yara is popular enough to be worth faking, and the counterfeits are getting harder to spot from a photo. The most reliable warning sign is price: a sealed 100ml bottle listed far below what established UK stockists charge is not a bargain.
Beyond that, check three things before you buy:
- Holographic label. It should sit on the box and shift as you tilt it.
- Batch code. Crisply printed, and the same on the box and the base of the bottle.
- Labelling. Evenly applied bottle labels and sharp print. Smudged text or a crooked label is a red flag.
