Najdia vs Najdia Intense vs Oud Najdia — Which Lattafa Najdia Should You Buy?

Lattafa Najdia vs Najdia Intense vs Oud Najdia: Same Name, Three Different Fragrances

A rose-and-leather. A clean creamy woody. A spicier one with an oud lean. Lattafa’s Najdia line shares five letters on the bottle and almost nothing else, which is why “which Najdia should I buy?” is the most common question we get about it. From £11.99.

All three Najdias are listed in our own shop. The original Najdia’s note list matches Lattafa’s official product page, and Oud Najdia’s cardamom heart is confirmed on Fragrantica. Prices are our own; the product boxes below always show the live price and stock.

Short answer: for one bottle you can wear every day, choose Lattafa Najdia Intense (£14.99): clean, creamy, office-safe and the hardest to get wrong. For character over convenience, choose the original Lattafa Najdia (£11.99): sharper, rosier and more traditionally Arabian. For evenings and cold weather, choose Lattafa Oud Najdia (£14.99): spicier, with cardamom and a woodier, oud-leaning base.

Lattafa does this a lot. Asad has four flankers, Qaed Al Fursan has three, and Najdia has three that look related on a shelf and behave nothing alike on skin. If you buy the wrong one you will not get a slightly different version of what you wanted; you will get a different fragrance entirely.

Here is the plain version, with prices, so you can decide in about ninety seconds.

Each Najdia in Detail

What each one actually smells like, who it suits and who should skip it.

01 · Clean woody · Unisex · £14.99

1. Lattafa Najdia Intense: the one most people should buy

Najdia Intense gives you peppery citrus for twenty minutes, then the part that matters: dry cedar with creamy sandalwood, finishing on soft vanilla and clean musk. It is the smoothest of the three and by a distance the most versatile: office, dinner, errands, any month of the year.

The catch: it is deliberately polite. Projection is moderate, and it settles close to the skin after a couple of hours. If you measure a fragrance by how many people comment on it, this will disappoint you.

✓ Buy it if you want one clean, creamy bottle for daily and office wear, or it is your first Arabian fragrance.

✕ Skip it if you want projection and compliments. Polite is the design brief here.

    02 · Rose leather · Unisex · £11.99

    2. Lattafa Najdia: the original, and the sharpest

Where Intense goes creamy, the original Lattafa Najdia goes dry and floral. Rose over leather is one of the oldest pairings in Arabian perfumery, and it reads considerably more traditional, closer to what people picture when they think “Middle Eastern fragrance”. Lattafa’s own listing puts grapefruit and mandarin at the top, rose and cinnamon in the heart, and amber, leather and patchouli in the base (Najdia on Lattafa’s official site).

✓ Buy it if you find clean woody scents boring, or you specifically want rose and leather.

✕ Skip it if you want something inoffensive for an office. It has more edges.

    03 · Spicy woody · Unisex · £14.99

    3. Lattafa Oud Najdia: the evening one

Cardamom is the tell. In Oud Najdia it gives the opening a green, slightly soapy-spicy lift that neither of the others has (Fragrantica lists cardamom alongside lavender and rosemary in its Oud Najdia note pyramid), and the base runs darker and woodier with an oud lean. This is the cold-weather, after-six member of the family.

✓ Buy it if you want the same broad woody idea as Intense with more spice and more presence in a cold room.

✕ Skip it if you want a daytime all-rounder. Najdia Intense is cleaner and better suited to daytime.

Are Any of the Lattafa Najdias Clones?

This is the second-most-searched question about the line, usually phrased as “najdia intense clone of“, and the honest answer is no: none of the three is a clone of a specific designer fragrance.

It is a fair question to ask, because Lattafa genuinely does build close alternatives: Asad against Dior Sauvage Elixir is a real example, and our Lattafa dupes guide covers the ones that qualify. But the Najdia line is house composition rather than reverse-engineering.

The reason people feel like Najdia Intense must be a clone is that its structure (citrus and pepper over cedar and sandalwood with a musky base) is the single most common shape in modern men’s and unisex perfumery. Dozens of houses have made a version. Familiarity is not duplication, and there is nothing distinctive enough in the pyramid to trace back to one original.

The test worth applying: a real dupe shares a distinctive accord you could pick out blind. Najdia Intense shares a generic one. That is the entire difference, and it is also why it works so well as a daily wear.

Two Things That Apply to All Three

      1
      Rest them before judging
All three are sharper fresh than they will be in a month; the pepper and citrus dominate a new bottle. Our maceration guide explains why.
      2
      Put one spray on fabric
Woody bases cling to cloth far better than skin. It is the cheapest way to add three or four hours.

      Frequently Asked Questions

Tap a question to open the answer.

What is the difference between Lattafa Najdia and Najdia Intense?
The original Najdia is citrus with rose and leather: sharper and more traditionally Arabian. Najdia Intense drops the rose and leather for cedar, sandalwood and vanilla, making it smoother, creamier and far more versatile. They are not versions of the same scent.
Is Najdia Intense stronger than Najdia?
Longer-lasting, but not louder. “Intense” here describes the density of the woody base, not the projection: it wears close to the skin for most of its seven to nine hours.
Is Oud Najdia the same as Najdia Intense?
No. Oud Najdia leads on cardamom and finishes darker and woodier with an oud lean. Najdia Intense is cleaner, creamier and better suited to daytime.
Which Lattafa Najdia is best for the office?
Najdia Intense, comfortably. Moderate projection, no trail, and almost impossible to over-apply.
      Which Najdia is best value?
Najdia Intense at £14.99 for 100ml, on longevity alone. The original is £3 cheaper but wears shorter.
Is any Najdia a clone of a designer perfume?
No. None of the three is a clone of a specific designer fragrance. Najdia Intense feels familiar because citrus and pepper over cedar and sandalwood is the most common shape in modern men’s and unisex perfumery, but familiarity is not duplication. Our dupes guide covers the ones that genuinely are alternatives.
Which Najdia is best for evenings and cold weather?
Oud Najdia. Its cardamom opening and darker, woodier base give it more presence in a cold room than either of the others.
Should I rest a new Najdia bottle before judging it?
Yes. All three are sharper fresh than they will be in a month, because the pepper and citrus dominate a new bottle. One spray on fabric also adds three or four hours. See our maceration guide.
