The four Lattafa Opulent bottles are four separate perfumes, not one scent in four versions. Opulent Oud (£12.99) is a warm saffron, rose and oud. Opulent Dubai (£13.99) is a juicy mango and citrus scent with no oud at all. Opulent Musk (£14.99) is a saffron-touched musk. Blue Oud Elixir (£24.99) is a peppery citrus over amber and woods.
For most people, the choice is between the two we have in stock: Opulent Dubai if you want bright and fruity, and Opulent Oud if you want a classic warm Arabian oud. Opulent Musk and Blue Oud Elixir are currently out of stock.

Why the Opulent Names Confuse People
“Opulent” sounds like a single line with one shared DNA, the way Yara or Asad flankers usually echo the original. That is not how the Lattafa Opulent bottles work. They came out years apart (Opulent Musk is listed on Fragrantica from 2019, Opulent Dubai from 2025) and they share almost nothing beyond the word on the box.
The names make it worse. Opulent Dubai sounds like a rich oud and amber oriental, but it is a mango scent with no oud in its pyramid. Blue Oud Elixir has “oud” in the name, yet neither Fragrantica nor our own listing includes oud in its notes. The only bottle where the name tells you what is inside is Opulent Oud, which really is built on agarwood.
One more naming note: shops sell the fourth bottle as “Opulent Blue Oud Elixir”, but Fragrantica lists it simply as Blue Oud Elixir. It is also a different perfume from Lattafa’s older Blue Oud (2018), which has a fruity oud pyramid. If you are shopping for the original Blue Oud, this is not it.
So, if you loved one Opulent, do not assume the others will feel familiar. Here is how they actually compare.
The Four Opulent Note Pyramids
Where Fragrantica and Lattafa’s own site agree, we show one list. Where they differ, we say so rather than pick one quietly.
Top: saffron, cinnamon
Heart: agarwood (oud), rose
Base: agarwood (oud), amber, cedarwood
Fragrantica and lattafa.com agree. Fragrantica: 3.97/5 from 1,524 votes.
Top: mango, grapefruit, lemon, ginger
Heart: jasmine, cedarwood, violet
Base: woody notes, ambergris, oakmoss, benzoin
Fragrantica and lattafa.com agree. Fragrantica: 4.33/5 from 2,983 votes.
lattafa.com
Top: saffron, orange · Heart: dry amber, gourmand · Base: oakmoss, musk, woods
Fragrantica
Top: white musk, saffron, lemon · Heart: white flowers, jasmine · Base: white musk, cedar, amber, resin, fir resin
The two lists differ; both agree on saffron, musk, amber and woods. Fragrantica: 3.47/5 from 965 votes.
Top: lemon, grapefruit, yuzu, pepper, cinnamon
Heart: jasmine, geranium
Base: amber, sandalwood, guaiac wood
Fragrantica only; lattafa.com has no listing for it. Too few votes for a meaningful rating.

Look across the cards and the overlap is thin. Saffron links Opulent Oud and Opulent Musk. Cinnamon and jasmine turn up in Blue Oud Elixir and one other bottle each. Opulent Dubai shares almost nothing with Opulent Oud apart from cedarwood. If you want to understand the materials themselves, our guides to what saffron smells like in perfume, what oakmoss smells like and what ambergris smells like cover the key notes here.
Opulent Oud: The Classic Saffron-Rose Oud
Lattafa Opulent Oud is the one bottle in the range that does what its name says. Saffron and cinnamon open it, agarwood and rose form the heart, and the oud carries on into a base of amber and cedarwood. Fragrantica voters rank oud as its leading accord, followed by warm spicy, amber, rose and woody, with a metallic and leathery edge further down that is typical of saffron.
Character: spicy, rosy and resinous in the traditional Arabian style. It is not a fresh scent, so if you have seen it described as citrusy or lemongrass-led elsewhere, that does not match the official pyramid.
Who it suits: anyone who wants a rose-and-oud oriental for autumn, winter and evenings without spending much. Fragrantica lists it for women and men. If you like rose with your oud, it sits comfortably next to the picks in our best oud perfumes for women guide.
Price and stock: £12.99 for 100ml, in stock, with free UK delivery on every order. It is the cheapest bottle in the range.
Opulent Dubai: A Mango Scent, Not an Oud
Lattafa Opulent Dubai is the newest and the most popular of the four. The opening is mango, grapefruit, lemon and ginger. Jasmine, cedarwood and violet sit quietly underneath, and the base is woody notes, ambergris, oakmoss and benzoin. There is no oud, no saffron and no rose. Fragrantica’s top accords are citrus, tropical, fruity and sweet, followed by woody and fresh spicy.
What wearers say (paraphrased from Fragrantica reviews): many praise the juicy, realistic mango, the value for money and how well it suits summer. Some find a new bottle opens synthetic or candy-like and say it improves after resting; our maceration guide explains why. Others wish it lasted or projected more.
It is often compared with God of Fire by Stéphane Humbert Lucas 777, and the full comparison sits on the Opulent Dubai product page.
Who it suits: anyone who wants a cheerful, fruity, warm-weather scent for daytime and the office. Fragrantica lists it for women and men.
Price and stock: £13.99 for 100ml (reduced from £19.99), in stock, with free UK delivery on every order.
Opulent Musk: Saffron and Soft Musk
Lattafa Opulent Musk is the oldest of the four, and the one where sources disagree most. Lattafa’s own site lists saffron and orange, then dry amber and a gourmand note, then oakmoss, musk and woods. Fragrantica lists white musk, saffron and lemon, then white flowers and jasmine, then white musk, cedar, amber and resins. Both agree on the core: saffron over musk, amber and woods.
What wearers say (paraphrased from Fragrantica reviews): opinion is sharply divided. Many find the opening harsh or medicinal, often blaming the saffron, but say it settles into a warm musk. Fragrantica’s top accords are musky, amber, woody and powdery, and its rating is the lowest of the four.
Who it suits: musk lovers who do not mind a sharp saffron start, and people looking for a soft base to layer under other scents. Fragrantica lists it for women. To see how it compares with Lattafa’s cleaner musks, read our guide to every Lattafa musk.
Price and stock: £14.99 for 100ml. Currently out of stock.
Blue Oud Elixir: Peppery Citrus Over Woods
Lattafa Opulent Blue Oud Elixir is the freshest of the four. Fragrantica lists lemon, grapefruit, yuzu, pepper and cinnamon on top, jasmine and geranium in the heart, and amber, sandalwood and guaiac wood in the base. Its accords are citrus, fresh spicy, woody and white floral. Despite the name, oud does not appear in the pyramid.
It has only a handful of votes and no written reviews on Fragrantica so far, so there is no reliable wearer picture yet. Lattafa’s own site does not list it. We would rather tell you that than fill the gap with guesses.
Who it suits: someone who wants a bright, peppery citrus with a warm woody finish for daytime, and who does not need a true oud. Fragrantica lists it for women and men.
Price and stock: £24.99 for 100ml, the dearest of the four. Currently out of stock.
Which Lattafa Opulent Is for You?
Each card sums up one bottle. On a phone, they stack one under another.
Still torn between the two in stock?
Think about when you will wear it. Opulent Dubai comes alive in warm weather and suits the office; Opulent Oud is a cold-weather, evening scent. They are so different that many people end up owning both, and together they cost less than £27. If you came to the range for a designer alternative, our Lattafa dupes guide lists every pairing we have checked, and our Lattafa collections guide explains how the other Lattafa families fit together.
