Yes, Lattafa Angham is unisex. Fragrantica lists it “for women and men”, even though it is usually sold as a women’s fragrance. The lavender in its heart is what makes it easy for men to wear.
It is a sweet gourmand, so it suits autumn, winter and evenings best. Two or three sprays is enough. For warmer months, Angham Second Song is the brighter sister.
Most of what gets written about Angham is about the Burberry Goddess comparison. This guide skips that and covers the practical questions instead: who it suits, when to wear it, how much to spray, and what you could try layering it with. The note pyramid, the dupe question and the full performance details are on the Lattafa Angham 100ml EDP product page.
Is Lattafa Angham Unisex?
On paper, yes. Fragrantica’s Angham page lists it as a fragrance “for women and men”. Its main accords there are vanilla, sweet, lavender, fresh spicy, powdery, amber, musky, citrus, cacao and aromatic.
In shops it is a different story. Angham is usually sold to women, largely because of the Burberry Goddess comparison, and we list it in our own women’s range too. So the honest answer is that Angham is marketed feminine but built unisex.
The reason is in the notes. Fragrantica lists mandarin, ginger and pink pepper at the top, lavender, praliné, cacao and jasmine in the heart, and vanilla, amber and musk in the base. Lavender, ginger and pink pepper are all common in men’s fragrances. Vanilla, cocoa and praliné are gourmand notes that both men and women wear. Jasmine is the only note that clearly leans feminine, and it sits in the middle of the pyramid alongside three others.
Lattafa Angham for men: what to expect
If you are a man thinking about Angham, ask yourself how much sweetness you like. If you already enjoy vanilla-heavy scents, the lavender and spice in Angham will feel familiar. If you prefer fresh, citrus or woody fragrances, it will probably feel too sweet, whatever the label says.
If you want more lavender and less dessert, the layering section below has two ideas based on notes Angham shares with more masculine fragrances.
Lavender, ginger, pink pepper, amber
Vanilla, cocoa, praliné, musk, mandarin

Lattafa Angham: Summer or Winter?
Winter, mostly. Angham’s base is vanilla, amber and musk, with cocoa and praliné in the heart. That is a dense, sweet structure, and sweet structures behave differently in heat.
How heat affects a gourmand
Warm skin and warm air make fragrance evaporate faster. With a fresh citrus scent, that just means it fades sooner. With a gourmand, the sweet base notes come through more strongly, so the vanilla and praliné can feel heavier and more sugary on a hot day than they do in the cold. Cold air does the opposite. It slows things down, so a sweet scent stays closer to the skin and feels cosier.
So, is Lattafa Angham a summer fragrance? Not really. You can still wear it on a cool summer evening if you spray less, but a heatwave is not its season. In autumn and winter it is at its best, which is why it is in our best Lattafa winter perfumes guide.
The warm-weather option: Angham Second Song
If you love the Angham idea but want something for spring and summer, look at Lattafa Angham Second Song, the brighter floral-vanilla flanker. According to Fragrantica’s Second Song page, it opens with bergamot and pear blossom, has orange blossom, peony and praliné in the heart, and finishes on vanilla, tonka, ambroxan and musk. There is no lavender and no cocoa. Reviewers there describe it as a daytime, warmer-weather scent.
One difference matters for this guide. Fragrantica lists Second Song “for women”, while the original is listed for women and men. If you are a man looking for a summer Angham, keep that in mind.

Occasions: Where Angham Works
- Evenings out and dinners. This is where a warm vanilla-lavender scent feels most at home.
- Cold-weather daytime. On a cold day under a coat and scarf, two sprays stays cosy rather than loud.
- Close-up occasions. Reviewers describe its projection as a close scent bubble rather than something that fills a room, so people mostly notice it up close.
- The office. Fine at a light dose in cooler months. In a warm, closed room, go down to one or two sprays.
- Hot days and the gym. Leave it at home and reach for Second Song or something fresh instead.
How Many Sprays, and Where
Start with two or three sprays. That is the range recommended on our Angham product page, and it fits a sweet gourmand that doesn’t need help being noticed. Longevity reports on Fragrantica range from a few hours to 10+, and it lasts longer on clothing.
Two sprays: one on each side of the neck. Good for the office, daytime and smaller rooms.
Three sprays: neck plus one on the chest or inside a scarf. Good for cold evenings outdoors.
On fabric: scarves and jumpers hold scent longer than skin does, and wearers report Angham lasts much longer on clothing. Test a hidden spot first on delicate fabrics.
A new bottle may seem quieter than expected. Several reviewers say projection improves after the bottle has had time to rest. Our Lattafa maceration guide explains why, and how long to wait before judging it.
Lattafa Angham Layering Combos to Try
Treat these as ideas to try, not tested recipes. Each pairing is based only on the notes the two fragrances share in their published pyramids on Fragrantica. Shared notes give a pair a common bridge, which is why they are a sensible starting point. How a combination actually smells will depend on your skin and on how much of each you use.
Simple method: one spray of each, either on different spots (Angham on the neck, the other on the chest) or one on top of the other. If one fragrance takes over, cut it back to half a spray next time.
Shared notesLavender, plus a cocoa note in each (cacao in Angham, Cocoa Pulse in Musamam Black Intense)
Why try itMusamam Black Intense adds sage, nutmeg, cedarwood and patchouli, which could pull Angham’s sweetness in a woodier, more aromatic direction.
Price£31.99 · 100ml
Shared notesPraliné, vanilla
Why try itKhamrah brings cinnamon, nutmeg and dates over a tonka and benzoin base. Angham’s lavender could lift that spice, and Khamrah could make Angham warmer. Both are sweet, so start light.
Price£22.99 · 100ml
Shared notesVanilla, musk
Why try itNebras Elixir adds milk candy, whipped cream, heliotrope and ambroxan. The shared vanilla-musk base suggests a creamier, softer Angham for daytime in cooler weather.
Price£23.99 · 100ml
Shared notesPraliné, vanilla, musk
Why try itEclaire adds caramel, milk, sugar and honey. On paper, this is the sweetest pair here. Only try it if you already find Angham not sweet enough.
Price£19.99 · 100ml
Can you layer Angham with Angham Second Song?
It is worth a try for spring evenings. The two share praliné, vanilla and musk in their Fragrantica pyramids. Second Song adds bergamot, pear blossom and peony, which could brighten the original’s darker cocoa-lavender heart. One spray of each is a sensible start.
