Versace Eros Najim Alternatives UK: 5 Ranked by Note Overlap

Scored Against Najim’s Actual Pyramid · 5 Ranked

Five Lattafa Fragrances That Get You Most of Eros Najim

Let’s start honestly: you can buy Versace Eros Najim in Britain. Harrods and Selfridges both stock it. The question was never availability. It is that Najim’s caramel-cardamom-incense idea turns out to be surprisingly reproducible.

The closest Lattafa alternative to Versace Eros Najim is Qaed Al Fursan Untamed (£11.99), which shares 7 of Najim’s 11 notes: mandarin, cardamom, clary sage, caramel, cedarwood, vetiver and incense. What it lacks is the oud, so it wears drier and more herbal. Emeer (5 of 11) is the drier, more formal reading with no caramel, and Kashaf (4 of 11) is the only one of the five that carries the oud. The ranking is a straight count of shared notes, with no weighting. And if you have smelled Najim and loved it specifically, buy Najim.

So rather than repeat the “Dubai exclusive you can’t get” line that half the internet is still running, we did something checkable. We took Najim’s published note pyramid, took the pyramids of every fragrance in our range that plausibly sits in the same territory, and counted the overlap. Here is what came out, ranked by evidence, not by margin.

First, What Eros Najim Actually Is

Versace launched Eros Najim in 2024. It has nothing to do with the minty blue Eros most people picture: it is a warm, caramel-and-incense oriental with oud in the middle. The published pyramid runs to eleven notes.

Note lists vary slightly by source; Versace’s own listing runs shorter. We used the fuller eleven-note pyramid so the scoring is harder to pass, not easier.

1. Lattafa Qaed Al Fursan Untamed: 7 of 11

Shared with Najim · and the notable misses
✓ Mandarin✓ Cardamom✓ Clary sage✓ Caramel✓ Cedarwood✓ Vetiver✓ Incense
✕ Oud✕ Saffron✕ Patchouli✕ Tonka

Nothing else comes close on paper, and nothing else comes close in wear. Untamed rebuilds Najim’s entire opening and drydown structure (the mandarin-cardamom lift, the burnt caramel, the cedar-and-frankincense base) almost item for item.

What it does not have is the oud. And oud is not a detail: it is what gives Najim its smooth, resinous, unmistakably Middle Eastern weight. Lattafa fills the gap with an aromatic accord of lavender, clary sage, geranium and cypress, which pushes Untamed drier, greener and more herbal than the Versace. Some reviewers hear a Burberry Hero edge in it. They are not wrong.

✓ Buy it if what you love about Najim is the caramel-spice-incense frame.

✕ Skip it if what you love is specifically the oud. Look further down this list.

Untamed is the third fragrance to carry the Qaed Al Fursan name, and the three smell nothing alike. If you are unsure which one you have seen recommended, our three-way Qaed Al Fursan comparison sorts it out.

2. Lattafa Emeer: 5 of 11

Shared with Najim · and the notable misses
✓ Clary sage✓ Cardamom✓ Incense (olibanum)✓ Patchouli✓ Cedarwood
✕ Caramel✕ Oud

The surprise of the exercise. Emeer is not marketed as a Najim anything, but it carries the two notes almost nothing else does, clary sage and olibanum together, plus cardamom, patchouli and cedarwood. That is Najim’s aromatic-resinous skeleton with a cleaner, more polished finish.

The difference is sweetness. Emeer has no caramel, so where Najim goes warm and edible, Emeer stays dry, tea-like and formal. If you found Najim slightly too sweet and wished someone would make the grown-up version, this is closer to what you wanted than Untamed is.

✓ Buy it if you found Najim slightly too sweet and want the dry, grown-up version of its aromatic-resinous side.

✕ Skip it if the warm, edible caramel is the part of Najim you love. Emeer has none.

3. Lattafa Kashaf: 4 of 11, and the Only One With the Oud

Shared with Najim · and the notable misses
✓ Cardamom✓ Saffron✓ Agarwood (oud)✓ Tonka bean
✕ Caramel✕ Mandarin

This is the interesting one, and it is the reason this article is not just “buy Untamed.”

Kashaf scores lower than Untamed overall, but look at which four notes it matches. Saffron, agarwood and tonka bean are three of the exact four that Untamed leaves out. Kashaf is, in other words, the complement rather than the competitor: where Untamed rebuilds Najim’s bright caramel-spice half, Kashaf rebuilds its dark resinous half.

The two-bottle experiment. Untamed plus Kashaf covers ten of Najim’s eleven notes between them. They are two different fragrances, not a layering instruction, but if you are chasing the Najim idea rather than the Najim bottle, owning both gets you further than owning either.

✓ Buy it if it is the oud and the dark, resinous half of Najim you are after.

✕ Skip it if you want Najim’s bright mandarin-and-caramel opening. That is Untamed’s territory.

Kashaf is currently out of stock. Check availability → Or start with Untamed →

4. Lattafa Creative Art: 4 of 11

Shared with Najim · and the notable misses
✓ Cardamom✓ Saffron✓ Patchouli✓ Olibanum
✕ Caramel✕ Oud

Same score as Kashaf, different flavour of it. Creative Art pairs saffron with olibanum and benzoin over a vanilla-amber base, and the elemi in the opening gives it a resinous lift Najim does not have.

It is the most “expensive-smelling” fragrance on this list. Whether it is right for you depends entirely on whether you want a Najim alternative or simply a very good saffron-incense woody, because on the second count it beats everything above it.

✓ Buy it if you want a very good saffron-incense woody more than a Najim alternative.

✕ Skip it if you want Najim’s caramel sweetness or its oud. Creative Art has neither.

Creative Art is currently out of stock. Check availability → Or try Musamam for saffron and incense →

5. Lattafa Mughal Fort: 3 of 11

Shared with Najim · and the notable misses
✓ Cardamom✓ Cedarwood✓ Caramel
✕ Oud✕ Incense✕ Saffron

Lowest score on the list and still worth including, because of which three notes it shares: cardamom, cedarwood and caramel. That is the exact trio that makes Najim recognisable in the first fifteen minutes.

Mughal Fort takes that opening and resolves it into vanilla, musk and amber instead of oud and resin. So the first impression is uncannily on-target and the destination is somewhere sweeter and softer. If you liked Najim’s opening more than its base, this is your bottle.

✓ Buy it if you liked Najim’s opening more than its base.

✕ Skip it if it is the oud and resin of Najim’s drydown you want. Mughal Fort lands on vanilla, musk and amber instead.

Mughal Fort is currently out of stock. Check availability → Or try Untamed for the cardamom-caramel opening →

The Honest Bit

None of these is Eros Najim.

A note count measures ingredients, not quality of blending, and Versace’s perfumers work to a different brief. If you have smelled Najim and loved it specifically, buy Najim. Harrods and Selfridges both have it. We would rather tell you that than sell you a bottle you spend a year feeling slightly disappointed by.

What the list is for is the other situation: you smelled Najim on someone, liked the idea of it, and would like most of that idea in something you can spray without thinking about it. On that question the answer is clear, and it is Qaed Al Fursan Untamed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Tap a question to open the answer.

Can you buy Versace Eros Najim in the UK?
Yes. It launched in 2024 as a Middle East travel-retail exclusive, which is where the “you can’t get it here” reputation came from, but Harrods and Selfridges both stock it now.
What is the closest Lattafa to Eros Najim?
Qaed Al Fursan Untamed, which shares seven of Najim’s eleven notes: mandarin, cardamom, clary sage, caramel, cedarwood, vetiver and incense.
Why does Untamed not smell exactly like Najim?
Because it has no oud. Najim’s oud gives it a smooth, resinous, distinctly Middle Eastern weight; Untamed replaces it with lavender, clary sage, geranium and cypress, which reads drier and more herbal.
Which alternative has the oud?
Kashaf. It carries agarwood, saffron and tonka bean, three of the four notes Untamed leaves out.
How did you score the overlap?
We counted shared notes against Najim’s published eleven-note pyramid. No weighting, no adjustment for how prominent a note is in wear. Just a count, so you can check it yourself.
