Lattafa Art of Nature I: Jammy Plum, Leather and Oud in One Bottle
Plum · Blackcurrant · Fig · Rose · Rhubarb · Leather · Oud · Ambergris · Vanilla. Nine notes, 100ml, £24.99.
What is it? Art of Nature I is a 2024 release from Lattafa Pride, the house’s premium sub-line. Lattafa’s own listing calls it a versatile unisex fragrance that “seamlessly blends bold and refined elements”, and Fragrantica files it under the Oriental Floral family. That is the brand talking. Here is what the pyramid tells you: dark fruit on top, a rose-and-leather heart with a sour streak of rhubarb, and an oud base that is softened rather than buried by vanilla.
What does it smell like? Fragrantica’s accord list for it reads, in order of strength: fruity, oud, leather, sweet, animalic, green. Put plainly, this is not a polite rose. The fruit is jammy, the leather is noticeable, and the animalic accord (from the oud and ambergris pairing) is the reason some people love it and others give up on it after one wear. The Fragrantica community rating sat at 3.70 out of 5 across a few hundred votes when we checked in October 2026, and the written reviews are split in a way that matches that score: “unique” and “an acquired taste” turn up again and again.
The Three Acts
The notes below match on both Fragrantica and lattafa.com, so you can rely on them.
Dark, jammy and slightly tart. Blackcurrant keeps the plum from going syrupy, and fig adds a soft, milky green edge.
The rose is the floral thread; rhubarb gives it a sour, green snap; leather is what turns a fruity rose into something darker.
Woody, salty-warm and gently sweet. Vanilla rounds the oud off; it does not turn the base into a dessert.
What the Fragrantica Community Hears First
Fragrantica ranks each fragrance’s accords by how strongly voters pick them up. The bars below follow that order. They show which accords lead, not exact percentages.
Order as listed on Fragrantica, October 2026. Bar lengths show rank only, not measured values.
The animalic accord in fifth place matters more than its position suggests. If a fragrance with a raw, slightly barnyard oud edge has ever put you off, expect this one to test you too. If you like a bit of grit under the sweetness, it is the most interesting part of the bottle.
Is It a Dupe of Anything?
Lattafa does not market Art of Nature I as a copy of a designer or niche fragrance, and we will not invent one for it. On Fragrantica, some reviewers mention Maison Crivelli’s Oud Maracujá when they discuss it, and other reviewers say it is not a match. That is as far as the evidence goes. Treat it as an original fruity-leather oud and buy it for that, not because of a comparison someone made in a comment thread.
Where It Sits in the Lattafa Pride Range
Lattafa Pride bottles share a price bracket and a more decorative presentation, but the scents go in very different directions. Art of Nature I is the darkest of the Pride bottles we list. Its sister, Lattafa Art of Nature II, goes the opposite way: citrus, orange and woods, much fresher and easier for daytime. If you want a Pride bottle that is clean and modern rather than jammy and animalic, Lattafa Kashan pairs raspberry with ambroxan, cashmeran and vetiver.
On the Shelf Now: Fruity Oud and Leather Alternatives
While Art of Nature I is unavailable, these three in-stock bottles share at least one of its key ingredients: fruit over oud, or fruit over leather. Pick based on which of the two you care about more.
Oud, raspberry and leather, with raspberry where Art of Nature I uses plum. This one is closest on structure.
Raspberry, saffron and oud. Swaps the leather for saffron, and it is the cheapest of the three.
Raspberry and leather from the same Pride line, for buyers who want the leather more than the oud.

When and How to Wear It
- Cold weather, evenings. Jammy fruit, leather and oud feel heavy in heat. This belongs to autumn and winter, dinners and nights out.
- Go easy on the trigger. Fragrantica reviewers repeatedly call it potent, so start with one or two sprays on clothing or the chest rather than spraying your neck heavily.
- Genuinely unisex. Both Lattafa and Fragrantica list it for women and men. The rose and fruit make it easy for women to wear, and the leather and oud make it easy for men.
- Not an office scent. Because of the animalic edge, we would keep it for evenings rather than a shared desk.
