Lattafa Affection 100ml EDP – Raspberry, Pistachio & Vanilla

Open a tub of pistachio gelato, swirl a spoonful of raspberry through it and you have the opening of Lattafa Affection. Green, roasted nuts at the front. Pink fruit and soft white flowers in the middle. Milky vanilla and tonka at the bottom. It is a nut-led gourmand rather than a sugar-led one, and that is the thing that sets it apart from most of the sweet scents on our shelves.

Affection sits in Lattafa Pride, the brand’s premium sub-line (Lattafa’s own listing names it as part of the Pride collection). Fragrantica records it as a 2024 release for women and men, and no perfumer is credited on either source. We have kept this page to what those two sources confirm, plus what Fragrantica’s community says about it.

Is it the Kayali Yum Pistachio Gelato alternative people talk about?

That is the comparison you will see most often in Affection reviews, so here is what the note lists actually show. Kayali’s Yum Pistachio Gelato | 33 is a busy composition of more than twenty notes. Affection is a pared-back one of nine. Six of Affection’s notes appear in both pyramids on Fragrantica:

So the honest answer is: they share a pistachio-raspberry-floral spine, and Affection is the simpler, less sugary relative. Lattafa does not market Affection as a copy of anything, and it would be wrong for us to call it one. If you want the full candy-shop effect of the Kayali, Affection will read plainer. If the pistachio was the part you loved, it covers that.

The Affection note pyramid

Lattafa’s official pyramid, top to base. Fragrantica lists the same materials with one small difference: it places the lactonic (milky) note in both the heart and the base, and calls the cassis buds “black currant”.

Pistachio and hazelnut do the heavy lifting early. Pistachio smells green and faintly salty next to the roasted, praline-like hazelnut, and the cassis buds give a sharp, leafy tang that stops the opening going flat. That green tang is why Fragrantica voters list “green” among its main accords, which is unusual for a dessert scent.

Raspberry with lily of the valley and jasmine is the heart. The raspberry is jammy rather than sour, and the two white florals keep it airy. The lactonic note sits underneath like a splash of milk, which is what gives the scent its ice-cream softness.

Vanilla and tonka finish it. There is no amber, oud or musk listed, so the drydown stays creamy and edible rather than resinous. If you like a gourmand that ends warm but not heavy, this is the shape you want.

How to wear it

• Cool weather, relaxed settings. Milky vanilla and nut notes bloom in warmth, so a heated office or summer heatwave can make it feel dense. Autumn weekends, cafés and evenings in are its natural home.
• Two or three sprays. Gourmands with a lactonic base can tip into cloying if you overdo them. Start low; add one to a scarf or jumper if you want it to hang around.
• Unisex in practice. Lattafa lists it as unisex and Fragrantica as for women and men. The pistachio and cassis keep it from reading purely sweet.
