Description

Ana Abiyedh Poudrée: Soft Powder, Vanilla and Musk

Poudrée is French for “powdered”, and the name tells you most of what you need to know. Lattafa took the Ana Abiyedh name in a soft, cosmetic direction for this one. White florals sit over a musk heart, and the base adds vanilla, tonka and gentle woods. Fragrantica lists it as a floral fragrance for women, launched in 2023, which makes it one of the newer members of the family.

Think of the soft, clean smell of a powder compact or a freshly made bed, not the bright citrus of the original Ana Abiyedh.

Pyramid as listed on Fragrantica

White florals open it, with orange blossom, rose and jasmine together. Musk takes over as the heart. Then the base warms up with vanilla and tonka, with cedar, vetiver and patchouli keeping it from turning sugary. That’s the woody accord Fragrantica picks up further down its list.

A note on note lists. You’ll see a second pyramid for Poudrée on some retailer listings (lily of the valley and coriander, then ambroxan, then vanilla and musk). Our old copy used it too. Lattafa’s own website doesn’t currently list Poudrée, so we can’t confirm either version with the brand. We’ve gone with Fragrantica’s pyramid, which is the one we can source. Both versions agree on the essentials: soft florals, musk and vanilla.

The Accord Profile

Main accords, in Fragrantica’s order
1. Vanilla
2. Musky
3. Powdery
4. Sweet
5. White floral
6. Woody
7. Aromatic
8. Amber

Longer bar = higher on Fragrantica’s accord list. It is a ranking, not a strength reading.

Vanilla, musk and powder lead, and that’s the scent in three words. Poudrée is also one of the better-liked members of the family on Fragrantica, with an average rating of about 4.1 out of 5 from more than 1,400 votes.

Where Poudrée Sits in the Ana Abiyedh Family

Fresh & clean
Ana Abiyedh
Soft & powdery
Poudrée (you’re here)
Spiced & leathery
Ana Abiyedh Leather

The original Ana Abiyedh is citrus, pear and clean musk, also sold as I Am White in 100ml. Ana Abiyedh Leather is the darker one, with raspberry, iris and leather. Poudrée sits between them: softer than the first and far gentler than the second.

Who It Suits, and When

  • People who like “skin-scent” fragrances. Musk at the centre and vanilla underneath mean it reads close and comforting rather than loud.
  • Daytime and in-between seasons. The florals keep it light enough for spring, and the vanilla-tonka base carries it into autumn.
  • A gentle signature. It’s marketed for women. If you like soft powdery musks, our best Lattafa perfumes for women guide covers more in the same mood.

Is It a Good Gift?

It’s one of the safer picks in the family. Soft florals, musk and vanilla are an easy combination to like. The 60ml bottle is a sensible size for someone trying a new style, and the floral-musk profile is approachable on first spray. If you’re buying for someone who prefers fresh, citrusy scents, the original Ana Abiyedh is the better choice.

Ana Abiyedh Poudrée — Quick Answers

Expand a question for the answer. Notes, year and gender are from Fragrantica.

Is Ana Abiyedh Poudrée in stock?
Not at the moment. In stock in the same family is Ana Abiyedh 60ml. For a soft vanilla skin scent, Lattafa Nebras Elixir is in stock.
What does Ana Abiyedh Poudrée smell like?
Soft and powdery. Fragrantica lists orange blossom, rose and jasmine at the top, musk in the heart, and vanilla, tonka bean, cedar, vetiver and patchouli in the base. Its top accords are vanilla, musky and powdery.
Why do some sites list different notes for Poudrée?
Some retailers list lily of the valley and coriander, ambroxan, and vanilla and musk. Lattafa’s own site doesn’t currently list Poudrée, so we use Fragrantica’s pyramid, which we can source. Both versions centre on florals, musk and vanilla.
What does Poudrée mean?
It is French for “powdered”, a nod to the soft, cosmetic-powder feel of the scent.
Is Ana Abiyedh Poudrée for women?
Fragrantica classifies it as a floral fragrance for women. Anyone who enjoys soft powdery musks can wear it.
How is Poudrée different from the original Ana Abiyedh?
The original is fresh citrus, pear and clean musk. Poudrée swaps the fruit for white florals and adds a warmer vanilla, tonka and woods base, so it is softer and more powdery.
Sources we checked

Shaheen Shah Abrar, Founder of Royal Scents, wrote this page. Poudrée doesn’t currently appear on lattafa.com, so Fragrantica is the single source for its notes, and we’ve said so rather than guessing.
