Lattafa Sehr Fragrance Notes
Warm and nutty from the first spray. The cinnamon is the baked kind rather than the fiery kind, and bitter almond gives it an amaretto edge — slightly boozy, slightly medicinal in the best way.
Pomarose is the interesting one — a rosy, dried-fruit material that reads like stewed plum and rose together. Jasmine softens it, and akigalawood adds a peppery woody spine that keeps the sweetness in check.
A classic warm-sweet finish. Tonka and vanilla together are almost custardy, amber gives it the resinous glow, and this trio is why Sehr stays on the skin long after the cinnamon has burned off.
What Does Lattafa Sehr Smell Like?
Warm spiced almond pastry with flowers in it. Think cinnamon, marzipan and stewed dark fruit, all sitting on a thick layer of vanilla.
The opening is the most striking part: cinnamon and bitter almond arrive together and land somewhere between a spice cupboard and an amaretto glass. Give it twenty minutes and the heart opens up — jasmine and pomarose turn it rosier and fruitier, and the akigalawood adds a dry, slightly peppery texture underneath so the whole thing does not collapse into pudding. From roughly the two-hour mark Sehr becomes what it always intended to be: a warm vanilla-amber-tonka skin scent with a memory of spice in it. It is a cold-weather evening fragrance and it makes no attempt to be anything else. Wear it in July and you will feel it.
Performance and How to Wear It
- Longevity: around 8–10 hours on skin. The vanilla, amber and tonka base is heavy enough to still be detectable at the end of a long evening, and longer again on a scarf or coat.
- Projection: strong in the first two hours, then moderate and close. Expect people to notice when you walk past early on.
- Sprays: two is usually enough. Three if it is genuinely cold. This is not a fragrance that needs help.
- Season: autumn and winter. It is too warm and too sweet for hot weather.
- Occasion: evenings, dinners, dates, occasion wear. It is a little much for a nine-to-five office in a small room.

The texture. Cinnamon-and-almond openings usually smell cheap and boiled-sweet; here the bitter almond keeps a proper amaretto bitterness and the akigalawood adds a woody grain that most fragrances at this price never bother with. Performance is genuinely strong, and the pomarose gives it a plummy depth that stops it being just another vanilla.
Versatility, and value against the rest of the range. Sehr is one of Lattafa’s pricier releases, and once the opening fades the drydown is a well-made but fairly familiar vanilla-amber-tonka accord — territory the brand already covers for considerably less. It is also strictly a cold-weather scent; there is no summer use in it at all.
Verdict: a rich, well-built winter gourmand with a genuinely distinctive opening. Buy it if you want spiced almond and vanilla with real staying power for evenings — not if you need one bottle to cover the whole year.
