Lattafa Qaaed — Cinnamon, Saffron, Oud and Sweet Amber
Lattafa Qaaed is a warm, sweet-spicy amber oriental: cinnamon and cardamom over a saffron-and-carnation heart, settling into vanilla, oud, amber and soft leather. Cosy, masculine-leaning and built for cold weather. This is the full-size Lattafa Qaaed Eau de Parfum 100ml spray, 100% authentic and dispatched from the UK.

A note on the name. Lattafa uses the word Qaa’ed across more than one release, so you will see longer names in search results. This listing is the standalone Qaaed Eau de Parfum 100ml in its own bottle — not a flanker, and not one of the longer-named fragrances that share the word.
Lattafa Qaaed Fragrance Notes
A hot spice opening. Cinnamon leads and reads sweet rather than sharp, cardamom adds a green aromatic edge, and a thin line of bergamot keeps the first ten minutes from being purely heavy.
Spiced and woody. Saffron brings its familiar golden, slightly leathery warmth, carnation adds a peppery floral bite, and sandalwood and cedar build the creamy-dry frame the base sits on.
Rich and enveloping. Vanilla and amber do the sweetening, a smooth synthetic-style oud adds depth without going barnyard, and leather gives the drydown a dry, slightly rugged finish.
What Does Lattafa Qaaed Smell Like?
Mulled spice and vanilla in a leather-lined room. That is the shortest honest description.
The opening is the spiciest stretch — cinnamon and cardamom hit first, warm and almost edible, with the bergamot burning off inside a quarter of an hour. From there saffron takes the lead and Qaaed turns golden and slightly medicinal in the way saffron always does, with carnation adding a peppery lift over creamy sandalwood. The real character arrives after about ninety minutes, when the vanilla-amber base opens up: sweet, resinous and thick, with the oud sitting underneath as a dark woody shadow rather than a smoky centrepiece, and leather drying the whole thing out at the edges. It stays sweet all the way through, and it stays warm. This is a cold-night fragrance, and it makes no attempt to be anything else.
Performance and How to Wear It
- Longevity: strong — commonly 8–10 hours on skin, with the amber-vanilla base still there the next morning on a jumper.
- Projection: heavy for the first two to three hours, then a warm, close trail. People will notice this one.
- Sprays: two is genuinely enough. Three if it is very cold. This is not a fragrance to be generous with.
- Season: autumn and winter. It becomes cloying above roughly 20°C.
- Occasion: evenings, dinners, weddings and events. Too much for a shared office or a warm commute.
Our Lattafa Qaaed Review
Performance is the headline — this projects and lasts like a fragrance costing several times more. The spice-to-sweetness balance is better handled than most budget amber orientals, and the leather in the base gives it a dry backbone that stops the vanilla running away with it.
Nuance. Qaaed is loud and it is blunt — the notes arrive in a block rather than unfolding, and the oud is a smooth modern woody-amber accord rather than anything resembling real agarwood. It is also very easy to over-apply: three sprays on a mild day and you will be wearing it more than anyone around you would like.
Verdict: an excellent cold-weather evening workhorse and one of the best-value spicy ambers in the Lattafa range. Buy it for winter nights out; do not buy it as an all-rounder.
Lattafa Qaaed FAQs
What does Lattafa Qaaed smell like?
Warm cinnamon and cardamom, a saffron and carnation heart, then a sweet vanilla-amber drydown with oud and leather underneath. Spicy, sweet and rich.
Is Lattafa Qaaed long-lasting?
Yes, notably so — typically 8–10 hours on skin and longer on clothing, thanks to the amber, oud and vanilla base.
Is Qaaed for men or women?
It is unisex with a masculine lean. The spice, oud and leather push it towards traditionally masculine territory, but the vanilla-amber sweetness makes it easy for anyone to wear.
Is it a real oud fragrance?
The oud here is a smooth, modern woody-amber accord rather than raw agarwood. It adds depth and darkness without the medicinal, animalic edge of genuine oud oil.
What size does it come in?
This listing is the 100ml / 3.4 oz Eau de Parfum spray.
