A sharp, energising opening. Lemon and grapefruit hit first and read genuinely bitter-fresh rather than sugary, while pepper and a whisper of cinnamon stop it from turning into another flat blue citrus.

The name oversells it. If the words “Blue Oud Elixir” have you expecting a rich, smoky agarwood bomb, you will be disappointed — this is a fresh citrus-aromatic with dry woods, and the oud presence is minimal. It is also not especially original; the bright-citrus-over-moss idea has been done many times before.
Verdict: a clean, well-behaved daily woody with a better dry-down than the price suggests. Buy it as a warm-weather and office workhorse — not as the oud fragrance the name implies.
