Lattafa Mohra Silky Rose — a Soft, Creamy Rose for People Who Find Rose Too Old-Fashioned

Rose · Litchi · Pink Pepper · Lily of the Valley · Musk · Vanilla · Patchouli — Lattafa Mohra Silky Rose Eau de Parfum 100ml, 100% authentic, dispatched from the UK.

Most rose perfumes make you choose: either a sharp, green, slightly soapy rose, or a heavy dark rose-and-oud that wears you rather than the other way round. Lattafa Mohra Silky Rose is neither. It is the third kind — a dewy pink rose thinned with juicy litchi and finished in creamy musk and vanilla, so it reads soft and modern rather than formal.

The name is doing its job. “Silky” is exactly the texture: smooth, close to the skin, more cashmere than corsage. If you have been searching for Mohra Silky Rose by Lattafa in the UK, this is the full-size Lattafa Mohra Silky Rose EDP 100ml, in stock and shipped within 24 hours.

ITop NotesFirst 30 min

Pink and juicy. Fresh rose petals arrive with sweet, watery litchi, and a dusting of pink pepper keeps the opening lively instead of syrupy. It is the fruitiest part of the wear and the reason people who normally dislike rose get on with this one.

The fruit steps back and the rose turns velvety. Dewy lily of the valley keeps it fresh and green-adjacent, while clean musk lifts underneath — this is where the “silky”, just-out-of-the-shower quality comes from.

IIIBase NotesHours 3–7

Soft and creamy rather than dark. Gentle musk and smooth vanilla do most of the work, with a whisper of patchouli for grip so it doesn’t turn into plain body lotion. The rose never disappears — it just settles in close.

What Lattafa Mohra Silky Rose Smells Like

If you want it in one line: a pink rose milkshake, thinned out and made wearable.

The first ten minutes are the fruitiest — litchi and pink pepper over rose, bright and a little sparkling. By the half-hour mark the fruit has faded and you are left with a clean, velvety rose sitting on musk. From there it barely changes; it just gets softer and creamier as the vanilla comes up, and it stays that way until it fades. There is no dark turn, no oud, no smoke, no spice.

It smells expensive in the way that soft musks usually do — clean, blurred at the edges, close to the skin. Nobody will guess it cost under £20.

Be clear-eyed about this one: it is a skin scent, not a room-filler. If you want a rose people smell from across an office, this is not it — and that is exactly why the people who love it wear it every day. Spray one on fabric and it lasts noticeably longer.

Is There a Mohra Silky Rose Dupe? What Is It Closest To?

This gets asked a lot, so here is the honest answer: Mohra Silky Rose is not a clone of a specific designer fragrance. Lattafa built its reputation on close-to-the-bone alternatives, so people reasonably assume every release is targeting something — but this one is an original composition in a very well-populated genre.

What it is close to is a type: the clean, fruity, musky pink-rose lane occupied by modern designer roses. If you like that style of rose, you will recognise the shape of this immediately. If you came looking specifically for a rose-and-oud or a jammy dark rose, look elsewhere in the range — we have both.

Our verdict: buy it as a soft everyday rose, not as a substitute for a specific bottle you already love. Judged as a £14.99 modern rose it is very good indeed. Judged as a dupe of something particular, you will be hunting for a similarity that was never designed in.

Which Lattafa Rose Should You Buy?

Rose is the most crowded corner of the Lattafa range, and the differences matter more than the names suggest:

The Bottle & Packaging

The bottle is the reason this one photographs so well. It is a frosted glass flacon in an ombré pink — deeper rose at the shoulders fading to pale blush at the base — with a chunky clear, jewel-cut cap that catches the light like a cut gemstone, seated on a polished silver collar. Two braided pink tassels hang from a silver bead at the neck, which is the detail people notice first.

The front carries a deep-rose crest-shaped panel printed with “Eau De Parfum · Natural Spray Vaporisateur · Lattafa”, the Arabic مهرة above MOHRA in Latin capitals, and a fine white tree-of-life illustration scattered with small stars at the base of the crest. The outer carton repeats the crest in the same pink, with a silver-grey tree at the top and سلكي روز / SILKY ROSE beneath the name.

Worth knowing, since Lattafa is now popular enough to be counterfeited: check the batch code is printed on both the carton and the base of the bottle, that the crest printing is crisp rather than fuzzy at the edges, and that the tassels are neatly bound rather than fraying. Every bottle we sell is sourced through legitimate supply — but if you are buying Lattafa anywhere else, those are the checks worth doing.

Who It’s For

  • Buy it if you like rose but find most roses too sharp, too dusty or too serious — or if you want a soft floral you can wear to an office without announcing yourself.
  • Buy it if you wear clean musks and fruity florals and want something a little more grown-up in the same register.
  • Buy it if you are giving it as a gift. The tasselled bottle and crest carton look considerably more expensive than £14.99.
  • Skip it if you want heavy projection, a dark rose-oud, or a fragrance people compliment from three metres away. Try Bayaan instead.

Why Buy From Royal Scents

Every bottle is genuine Lattafa, sourced properly and stored in the UK. And you will notice we told you it is a skin scent, that it isn’t a dupe of anything specific, and which of our other roses projects harder — because we would rather sell you the right bottle than process your return.

Good to Know Before You Buy

  • It rewards a rest. As with most Lattafa, a few weeks in a cool dark cupboard rounds the litchi out and pushes the creamy musk forward. More on maceration →
  • Two or three sprays is plenty, and one of them belongs on fabric — that is where you get the extra hours.
  • It layers well. Over a plain white musk it lasts longer; under a vanilla it turns into a soft rose gourmand.
  • Feminine, not unisex. Plenty of scents in the range go either way. This one leans clearly feminine.

Lattafa Mohra Silky Rose FAQs

What are the notes in Lattafa Mohra Silky Rose?
Top notes are rose, litchi and pink pepper. The heart is rose, lily of the valley and musk. The base is musk, vanilla and patchouli — seven notes in total, in the fruity-musky rose family.

Is Lattafa Mohra Silky Rose a dupe of another perfume?
No. It is an original Lattafa rose rather than a clone of a specific designer fragrance. It sits in the same clean, fruity, musky modern-rose lane as several designer roses, so fans of that style tend to love it, but it was not built to copy one particular bottle.

What does Mohra Silky Rose smell like?
A soft pink rose with juicy litchi over the top, drying down into creamy musk and vanilla. Fresh and fruity for the first half hour, velvety and skin-soft after that. No oud, no smoke, no heavy spice.

How long does Lattafa Mohra Silky Rose last?
Roughly five to seven hours on skin with intimate projection, and eight hours or more on clothing. It is a soft musky rose, so it wears close rather than filling a room. Two to three sprays is plenty.

Is Mohra Silky Rose for men or women?
It leans distinctly feminine and is best enjoyed as a women’s rose.

What does the Mohra Silky Rose bottle look like?
A frosted ombré-pink glass flacon with a clear jewel-cut cap on a silver collar, two braided pink tassels at the neck, and a deep-rose crest on the front carrying the Arabic مهرة / MOHRA name and a white tree-of-life motif. The carton matches, in pink with a silver-grey tree.

What size is this and is it the real thing?
This is the full-size Lattafa Mohra Silky Rose Eau de Parfum 100ml, 100% authentic Lattafa, stocked and dispatched in the UK with free tracked delivery and 30-day returns.

When should I wear it?
Spring and autumn suit it best, and its soft character makes it comfortable year-round. It is an everyday, daytime-and-dinner fragrance rather than a statement evening scent.
